If you know Aiden, you would know why this is such a momentous occasion. We have been through many different water phases with Aiden; birth-2 years old:loved the water and would jump in it or even crawl into it when we weren't looking. 3 years old:Aiden was taken out by a wave at the beach one day... after that, every time we came to the beach he would cry the minute he heard the ocean and hated all bodies of water. 4 1/2 years old:started to like the water again, slowly, still would not jump into the water or do anything remotely fun in the water. Still screamed like a crazy person when Trevor tries to get him to practice swimming, people stared, it was awkward. 5 1/2 years old: Trevor breaks down and decides that someone else needs to teach Aiden to swim. Aiden starts swimming lessons with Cheryl Martinez and never looks back! He loved every minute of it and looked forward to it every time. When I asked him if he wanted to take swimming lessons again, he said, "Only if Sister Martinez is my teacher!" Thank you Cheryl Martinez! You saved my sanity!
