Maui!

Trevor and I were lucky enough to be able to go on a vacation this year, thanks to Wendy and Drew's timeshare(and to Tiffany, who watched our kids for the entire week so we could go!)! The past 4 years have been hard on us, so the vacation was much needed.

Trevor, where Trevor always is: reading signs.

I never have to read a sign again, Trevor just tells me what it says!

Outlying islands in the distance. Trevor would be able to tell you which islands they are, because he read the sign...

Reading again. A guidebook this time.
Best Guidebook Ever!

View from Kapalua Bay Golf Course.

Trevor, posing for the camera.

I guess we figured out where Aiden gets it...
Makalua-puna Point

Dragon's Teeth

Honolua Bay.

Awesome for snorkeling(obviously).

But, not as awesome as Molikini, where WE went snorkeling!

Nakalele Blowhole.

Yes, that's my genius husband a foot from the blowhole.

Yes, that's my smart self, a sensible distance from the blowhole.

And still soaking wet mind you...

"Olivine Pools"

Really crazy natural lava swimming holes.

I jumped off the rock in the center of the picture into the small pool on the left. Trevor says it was 10-12 feet, but I say it was 18-20 feet('cause I'm a chicken), so we're going to call it 15 feet! Totally fun! But of course, I only did it after I saw my crazy husband do it several times.

Kahekili's Leap.

Apparently in the 18th century, a crazy king (named Kahekili) who resided here used to jump from this point, part of the way down, but still over 200 feet above the ocean. Then he'd climb back up and have breakfast(it's in the guidebook people!). Needless to say, when I saw it, I turned to Trevor and said, "No!". Luckily, he says that even HE is not that stupid.

Iao Needle.

Stream in the Iao Valley.

Lower Puohokamoa Falls.

Hanawi Falls.

Caves at Black Sand Beach.

Black Sand Beach.

The sand is Lava Rock that has been ground up by the ocean. It was the craziest feeling sand ever!

View from the top of the cave at Black Sand Beach.

Hana Highway.

Craziest Highway Ever.
This is supposed to be a 2 lane road people!

Two lanes! Our car barely fit, and when a car came the other way, we had to pull up right along side the mountain and hold our breath...

Molikini from the boat.

Rare "Lawyerfish".

Known to act foolishly and spout useless facts.

Trevor was called "Merman" by the snorkeling director of the boat.

Show-off.

Snorkeling!

Fish!

"Gill", from Finding Nemo!

I found him!

Moray Eel.

Possibly the creepiest creature ever.

Another Fish!

Trevor!

Huge Sea Turtle!

Haleakela. Volcano Crater. Not much of a view the morning we drove up.

Bummer Dude.
