My niece, Corinne, asked me if I would make a cake for her dad's surprise birthday party. The week before I made a cake for my mother-in-law and father-in-law's farewell, petit fours for Valentine's day, and a pirate ship cake for Maxwell's 3rd birthday. I was sick and tired of cake and would have been just fine not making another for years. But, I cannot say no to my Corinne.

"CA" stands for Captain Awesome.Which is what my brother-in-law has named himself.
The worst part about the whole situation was that I didn't even get to go to the party! I was sick as a dog the whole time I made the cake and just ended up sending Trevor over with the cake. Ugh!
