Beach Bums!!

While we were at the beach on Friday, Aiden and Calie(my niece) decided that they wanted to try boogie-boarding. Seeing how Aiden is normally quite terrified of the ocean, we were all very shocked! He loved it and Calie loved it too!

Trevor and I went snorkeling while we were there. He told me that there would be leopard sharks in the water and I laughed at him. He told me he was serious and I laughed again. My father-in-law told me that the sharks were very docile and would swim away if I got close to them. I agreed to try it, wanting to be the cool adventurous wife. As we were walking into the the shark infested water, Trevor tells me "Drag your feet while you walk into the water." I paused and thought about it for a second and said "Why?" becoming nervous all over again. "Sometimes the sting rays bury themselves in the sand and if you step on one it might sting you. Drag your feet and that will scare them out of the sand before you step on them." he tells me. At which time I proceeded to hyperventilate. Fishes, fine. Sharks, I'll deal. Sting rays?? Heck NO!! If they can take out the Crocodile Hunter, they can take me out! Somehow Trevor got me into the water. I'm glad I went... and lived to tell the tale.
